Instructions for creating an electronic quote:

Please follow the instructions below for configuring and quoting a system. Once
an electronic quote has been obtained, please forward your quote to the facility purchasing
office to complete the purchase order process.

To enter the Howard Brand Name Microcomputers & Peripherals LA Contract site.
Go to www.state.la.us/osp, click
on "contracts" in the left navigation bar and then "Approved Catalog Contracts",
then click on Howard Brand Name Microcomputers & Peripherals. This Page will appear,
You may wish to print a copy of this guide for future reference by clicking on
"Printer Friendly version" located in the upper right of this document.

You now will see a list of products to choose from under "Quick Links"
on the left of the page. Click on the product of you wish to shop for.
(desktops, notebooks, etc...)

Next you will need to click on the model or series you want to configure.
If you are configuring a desktop you will then be asked to choose the type
of chassis (mid-tower, micro-tower, or low-profile).

You will now configure your system by choosing from available processor speeds,
operating systems, and network connections. Once these selections have
been made continue by clicking the "configure now" button.

You may now finalize your system configuration by choosing from the
various options in the drop down boxes.

Once you have made your choices you may add the item to your shopping cart by
clicking the "Add to Cart" button.

At this point you may continue shopping for more products by clicking on "Continue Shopping",
or you may save an electronic quote by clicking on "Save Quote".

After clicking "Save Quote" returning customers will be asked for their email
address and password to log in, if you are a new customer please click the "New
Customers Click Here to Continue" link.

You will now be asked to verify or fill out information for the quote. Once you have filled out
the required information click the "Save Quote" button. Your electronic quote has now been saved.

Electronic quotes are valid for 30 days; you may view or print your quote at any time by
entering your email address and password into the "My Account" log in. Once you are logged
in click on the "Quote History" link and choose the quote you want to view.
